Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Urban Planner II to join our team at the City of Hamilton. As a key member of our Policy Planning department, you will play a critical role in conducting research, analyzing data, and developing strategic plans to support the city's growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on land use planning and policy initiatives
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to support the city's growth and development
  • Assist with the preparation of materials for public consultation and engagement
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders and community groups
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Urban Planning or a related field
  • Proven experience in land use planning and policy development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
