Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Waters Edge Community.

Job Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner will provide primary care to residents in accordance with established policy and scope of practice. This includes collaborating with physicians, providing nursing consultation, and participating in educational programming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary care to residents in accordance with established policy and scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians to provide follow-up on diagnosed conditions and provide on-call support.
  • Provide nursing consultation to residents, families, health professionals, and administration.
  • Participate in identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends in resident care outcomes and professional nursing practice issues.
  • Respond promptly to concerns of residents and family members, mediate satisfactory responses, and implement action plans to avoid reoccurrence.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as Registered Nurse in the Extended Class or RN (EC).
  • Demonstrated experience in gerontology.
  • Advanced knowledge and decision-making skills in assessment, diagnosis, and health care management.
  • Knowledgeable about primary health care issues in Long Term Care.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification from the Canadian Nurses Association.
