Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Hemodialysis Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Renal Services team at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to patients with chronic kidney disease, focusing on hemodialysis management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced clinical assessment, clinical reasoning, pharmacology, and communication skills to patients with chronic kidney disease.
  • Lead the incorporation of evidence-based interdisciplinary care for hemodialysis patients throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with nephrologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Provide leadership and support to the Renal Services team to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Membership in the Nurse Practitioners' Association of Ontario.
  • Successful completion of graduate studies in nursing.
  • Minimum 3 years recent Nurse Practitioner experience in an acute care setting.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to the Hospital's Code of Conduct.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of Patient and Family Centred Care.
