Job Title: Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Algo Medical Group Inc. in Thunder Bay. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Community Health Centre.

Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Develop and implement community-based programs in collaboration with the allied health team
  • Roster patients and work closely with a consulting physician and advanced NPs
  • Document all encounters on an electronic medical records system, ensuring data quality standards are met
  • Provide care to a diverse population, including those with addiction medicine needs
Requirements:
  • Current registration with and membership in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum 1 year of NP work experience
  • Primary health care experience, preferably in a community setting
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
  • Demonstrated excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
