Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Nav Construction Ltd. as a Drywall Finisher. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations, ensuring high-quality results and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install drywall sheets, measuring, cutting, and fitting them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, including cutting and installing metal corner beads.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts, estimating costs and materials as needed.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in various locations, including employer's/client's homes, and may be required to relocate. The work environment will be dusty, and the candidate will be required to work at heights.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player.
