Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of our group companies with Canadian/US legislation regarding income tax and various taxes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tax returns for our Canadian companies
- Calculate the annual tax provision for our group companies
- Plan to optimize tax benefits and/or credits for our companies and their shareholders
- Provide support during tax audits by various levels of government
- Ensure sales tax compliance for our companies
- Ensure proper accounting of tax-related transactions
- Perform all other related tasks
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- CPA, CA designation and advanced training in taxation
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar position in a company
- Experience with CaseWare/Taxprep considered an asset
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Autonomous
- Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset
