We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Credit Solutions Manager to join our Commercial Banking team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial solutions to clients through various tasks such as risk analysis, deal structuring, credit pricing, negotiation, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Work closely with clients to identify and assess credit risks, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Credit Analysis and Decision-Making
- Conduct thorough credit analysis to assess the creditworthiness of clients and make informed decisions on credit proposals.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Deal Structuring and Negotiation
- Develop and present credit proposals to clients, including structuring deals to meet their financial needs and risk tolerance.
- Negotiate with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Portfolio Management
- Manage a portfolio of clients with moderate to high credit risk.
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership
- Work closely with other team members, including Credit Analysts and Service Specialists, to ensure effective credit decision-making and portfolio management.
- Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members to develop their credit skills and knowledge.
- Education
- University degree in business, economics, or a related field.
- Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a related field.
- Skills
- Strong credit analysis and risk management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
This is a standard office-based position with non-standard hours. No travel is required.
