Job Summary

The Senior Financial Consolidation Analyst plays a critical role in the financial reporting process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of consolidated results. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail and a strong understanding of financial systems and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, including compliance reports, on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Manage accounting for newly acquired or created entities, ensuring seamless integration into the financial reporting process
  • Address complex accounting issues, providing expert guidance and support to the financial team
  • Participate in the annual external audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Verify consolidated results for compliance with credit facility financial covenants and baskets
  • Review and verify results of divisions and entities within the group for accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with the financial team to deploy new systems or improve existing processes, ensuring efficient and effective financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain an accounting operations manual, ensuring consistency and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Document, review, and improve the effectiveness of reporting processes and procedures
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statistical information for governmental organizations
  • Perform various ad hoc tasks, including requests from various departments within the company
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and a professional CPA designation
  • Between two (2) and five (5) years' relevant experience in financial consolidation and reporting within a large, complex organization with multiple divisions and sites
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Excellent analytical skills and team spirit
  • Bilingual (English and French), both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of Microsoft D365 and CCH Tagetik consolidation software (an asset)
