About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant, Global Benefits to join our team at Cowan Insurance Group. As a key member of our global benefits team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional services to our clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and carriers.
  • Provide ongoing education, support, and guidance to established client contacts.
  • Design and implement competitive plan concepts tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to meet client objectives.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within client blocks.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices through continuous learning.
  • Contribute to peer group discussions and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in the employee benefits industry.
  • Completed post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience and training.
  • Life Licensed (LLQP) or willingness to obtain.
  • Bonus points for CEBS designation or working towards it.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting concepts, techniques, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of flexible benefits and ability to plan and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Proven track record in managing complex business in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client-focused with a partnership mentality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Capable of working remotely and/or from an office base interchangeably.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Maintenance of a valid driver's license.
