About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Engineering Coordinator to join our team at BRP. As a key member of our Logistics Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and improvement of logistics processes to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Logistics Engineering team to work with internal logistics and ensure processes are designed, implemented, followed, and improved, taking into consideration health and safety recommendations and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with BRP's supplier network to determine standard packaging and dimensions for new processes, aligning with BRP's needs.
- Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring operational expenses, overhead costs, and capital expenditures are under control, in line with BRP's strategy.
- Oversee manpower calculations to ensure accurate budgeting and operational purposes.
- Propose, design, and obtain budget approvals for cost-saving projects related to returnable packaging, ensuring the packaging fleet is complete and in good condition.
- Prepare budget provisions and ensure proper follow-up, ensuring financial OPEX, ODC, and CAPEX are under control, in line with BRP's goals.
- Lead the Logistics Engineering team to perform activities related to health and safety (preventive, corrective, ergonomic, etc.).
- Show leadership and commitment to establish, maintain, and improve the Quality Management system.
- Promote continuous improvement and customer focus.
- Coordinate engineering changes, management information reports, and statistical data as required.
- Ensure implementation and follow-up of BRPMS initiatives.
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the department manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Administration.
- 5 years of experience in a related field or similar.
- Experience supervising and leading teams.
- Bilingual (English, Spanish), both oral and written.
- Very effective communication.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong budget tracking experience.
- Strong Six Sigma knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking.
- Strong drive and motivation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/Solidworks, SAP, and KANBAN.
- Good punctuality and responsibility.
- Knowledge of MRP, JIT system, ISO, SPC, and SAP.
- Knowledge in the areas of procurement, internal logistics, external logistics, customs, planning, purchasing, transportation, inventory control, and warehousing.
