At Vicwest, we are Building for Tomorrow, a leading manufacturer of metal roofing and building envelope systems in Canada. We are seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Acheson, Alberta.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our growth journey through new product launches and market penetration. As part of the Kingspan Group, Vicwest has an ambitious sustainability program, Planet Passionate, focusing on reducing the environmental impact of our products.

The successful candidate will report directly to the National Human Resources Manager and serve as a point of contact for managers and employees. Key responsibilities include:

  • Full cycle recruitment and onboarding, including intake meetings, job postings, candidate screening, interviewing with hiring managers, offer letters, and new hire onboarding.
  • Serving as the first-point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on legislative matters, company policies, and procedures.
  • Managing benefits administration, including disability claims, communication with insurance providers, accommodation requests, early and safe return to work, and transitional modified duties.
  • Answering questions on benefits and company programs.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant Human Resources experience, with at least two years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software, such as Dayforce or UKG.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Vicwest offers a competitive salary of $80,000 based on experience, three weeks paid vacation, one week paid winter closure, annual profit-sharing bonus, and RRSP employer match (up to 5%).
