As an Advanced Wound Care Specialist, you will work collaboratively with our interprofessional team to apply advanced knowledge and clinical skills in wound, ostomy, and continence care.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments of complex wounds, develop personalized care plans, and provide clinical education to hospital staff, physicians, and learners. Your expertise will be instrumental in promoting best practices and preventing pressure injuries throughout our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct advanced assessments of complex wounds, ostomies, and continence issues
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Provide clinical education on wound, ostomy, and continence care to hospital staff, physicians, and learners
  • Promote best practices and prevent pressure injuries through hospital-wide initiatives
  • Mentor and coach colleagues to enhance their knowledge and skills in wound, ostomy, and continence care
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate level Nursing degree required
  • Current Registration in good standing as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
  • Certification as a Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC) who has graduated from a World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET) recognized education program required
  • 7+ years' recent and relevant experience working as an NSWOCC in an acute care hospital setting required
  • 5 years' recent and relevant experience working with Critical Care, Acute Medical, Surgical, Post-Acute, and Maternal Child (Neonatal Intensive Care) patient populations required
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $51.68 - $62.80 per hour, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
