Located on the traditional lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, the District of West Vancouver is a vibrant community on the North Shore. We are seeking a Water Safety Professional to join our team, responsible for lifesaving functions and lesson instruction, including specialized areas. Additional responsibilities include performing basic maintenance functions and customer service.

To be successful, the candidate must be 16 years or older and have successfully completed courses in lifesaving, swimming instruction, and first aid. Required current Licenses and Certificates include:

  • Lifesaving Society Swim for Life Instructor;
  • National Lifeguard – Pool Certificate;
  • Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED (or equivalent).

The successful candidate will be required to supply a police information check with vulnerable sector and a copy of their credentials. The position is a Casual Union (WVMEA) role with hours and days of work varying. The rate of pay is $24.87 per hour (2022 rates) plus 12% in lieu of benefits.
