About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Support Specialist to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our Regional Programs team, you will provide administrative support to our multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transcribe medical dictation, including correspondence and reports, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide reception services, including operating a multi-line switchboard, responding to inquiries, and redirecting callers to appropriate personnel.
  • Process referrals and enter client data into computer systems, databases, and other software programs.
  • Maintain client charts, schedules, and records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform a variety of clerical functions, including typing, filing, and data entry.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing team planning, development, and evaluation activities.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 graduation from an approved program in medical transcription and one year of recent, related experience.
  • Ability to keyboard at 60 wpm and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
