Job Description

As a Healthcare Nurse Specialist at Spectrum Health Care, you will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients in the community. You will work collaboratively with other members of our team to assess, anticipate, identify, and respond to new and changing needs of our patients.

  • Provide patient-focused, safe, holistic nursing care to patients in their homes.
  • Ensure that nursing care provided to our patients is based on current and best practices to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Travel between patients' homes within a specific geographical region to provide care.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in community nursing.
  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Completion of 'Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Canada' (NSWOCC) course.
  • Ability to work independently in managing your own caseload.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
