About the Role

Luminato Festival Toronto is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Philanthropy to join our Development Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and impact of our organization through innovative philanthropic strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of donors at various stages of their relationship with Luminato, developing tailored stewardship strategies to increase donor retention.
  • Lead and implement an effective cultivation plan for building a pipeline of prospective individual donors and foundations, leveraging your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships.
  • Develop and execute complex plans to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, ensuring seamless execution of donor engagements and stewardship activities.
  • Collaborate with the Development leadership team to develop and deliver annual departmental goals, driving best practices in philanthropy and ensuring the Development team is maximizing the value of Raisers Edge.
  • Provide key support during the festival time, ensuring all donor engagement and stewardship activities, including receptions and events, are executed to the highest standard.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in major gifts fundraising, with a proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic fundraising plans.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to develop compelling cases for support and stewardship reports.
  • Proficiency in CRM products, ideally Raisers Edge, with the ability to leverage technology to drive fundraising success.
  • Passion for philanthropy and the arts, with a commitment to creating a supportive and understanding environment at Luminato.
