Job Summary

Farris LLP is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Services Paralegal to join our team. As a Corporate Services Paralegal, you will work closely with our Corporate Services team to provide corporate legal services to lawyers and their clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review corporate documents, including articles of incorporation, bylaws, and resolutions, for B.C., Federal, and extra-provincial companies, limited partnerships, and societies/not-for-profit organizations.
  • Conduct corporate searches in B.C., Canada, the U.S., and overseas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review documents to correct minute book deficiencies and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual documents for B.C., Federal, Societies, and extra-provincial entities.
  • Review and maintain filings in virtual minute books and respond to client inquiries.
  • Attend to various filings and registrations with the B.C. Registry and Corporations Canada.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the Corporate Services team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate records or a comparable field.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and in a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Good knowledge of ALF corporate program is considered a strong asset.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed an accredited paralegal studies program.
