We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team in ETOBICOKE North York. As a PSW, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing various personal care and homemaker/companion services to our clients, including:

  • Companionship and respite services
  • Homemaking activities such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Medication reminders and assistance
  • Social skills and activities to promote client engagement and well-being
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A successful completion of a Provincial-approved Personal Support Worker course
  • At least six months experience as a Caregiver (in homes or facilities)
  • A Police Vulnerable Sector Reference Check or willingness to obtain within 6 months
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
  • Ability to do light-cleaning and lifting (transferring clients, repositioning, and laundry)
  • Ability to speak another language is an asset
  • Obtained Food Handler's Certificate and able to cook well-balanced meals is an asset
  • Driver's License (G) is an asset
