Personal Support Worker/PSW Position in North York

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team at ComForCare North York. As a PSW, you will provide companionship and respite services to our clients, helping them to live their best lives possible.
Key Responsibilities- Provide companionship and social support to clients, engaging in activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks, using a food handler's certificate as an asset.
- Assist with medication reminders and provide a safe environment for clients while cooking.
- Provide household management services, including cleaning, laundry, and light housekeeping.
- Successful completion of a Provincial-approved Personal Support Worker course.
- At least six months experience as a Caregiver (in homes or facilities).
- Has a Police Vulnerable Sector Reference Check or willing to obtain within 6 months.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
- Ability to do light-cleaning and lifting (transferring clients, repositioning, and laundry).
- Ability to speak another language is an asset.
- Obtained Food Handler's Certificate and able to cook well-balanced meals is an asset.
- Driver's License (G) is an asset.
- Treated with respect and dignity.
- Provided exceptional training on a regular and ongoing basis.
- Never alone in the field - support is always available.
- Thoughtfully matched with clients that they are compatible with.
