Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of produce staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Assign sales workers to duties, ensuring that the produce department is adequately staffed and that customers receive prompt and courteous service.
- Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Establish and maintain work schedules, ensuring that the produce department is adequately staffed at all times.
- Prepare and submit reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing valuable insights to management.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that customers receive a positive experience.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that the produce department is well-stocked and that products are rotated regularly.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of office and volunteer staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a produce department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
The produce department is a fast-paced environment, with a high level of activity and customer interaction. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in this environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
Language:The primary language of work is English.
Hours of Work:The hours of work are 30 to 40 hours per week, with a regular schedule and occasional overtime as required.
