Job Title: Produce Department Supervisor
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at Freshco Coliseum 8968. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our produce department, ensuring that our customers receive the freshest and highest quality produce possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and supervise produce staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient department operations.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering merchandise, and authorizing returns to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Establish work schedules, prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, and resolve issues that may arise.
- Organize and maintain inventory, supervise and coordinate activities of workers, and conduct performance reviews.
- Ensure a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a produce department or related field.
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift heavy loads, walk, and stand for extended periods.
What We Offer:
- Permanent employment with 35 to 40 hours per week.
