We're seeking a skilled Claims Specialist (Property) to join our client's team in Toronto. This hybrid role offers a dynamic work environment, with the opportunity to work from the company's downtown office two days a week.

About the Opportunity

This role involves managing a diverse caseload of commercial property claims, including catastrophe claims and large losses. You'll be responsible for handling all assigned claims, communicating with internal stakeholders, and contributing to the design and implementation of claims policies and procedures.



Key Responsibilities


  • Manage a diverse caseload of commercial property claims, including catastrophe claims and large losses
  • Proactively handle all assigned claims, ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of claims policies and procedures
  • Analyze statistical information and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and enhance performance


Requirements


  • University degree, college diploma, or equivalent insurance experience
  • CIP qualification or a willingness to achieve it within an agreed timeline
  • 10+ years of previous commercial property claims handling experience
  • Strong verbal and written negotiation skills
  • Ability to assimilate and comprehend complex information
  • Proven track record of delivering excellence
  • Capability to handle high call volumes effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail
