The Role

We seek a talented Claim Specialist to join our Canada Claims team as a professional handling primary and excess liability claims under D&O, E&O, EPL, Crime, Cyber, and Media policies.

This role requires technical expertise in claim handling, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to drive claims towards resolution by managing external counsel and collaborating with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze liability and damages issues, maintaining documentation, and communicating positions to insureds and brokers.
  • Manage external adjusters and counsel, collaborating with Insureds in the defense and resolution of claims.
  • Evaluate pending claims, posting reserves, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Negotiate settlements, maintain relationships with vendors, and provide data-driven support to underwriters.
  • Ensure prompt payment of losses and vendor invoices.
