We are seeking a highly skilled Renal Assistant to join our team at Halton Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing dialysis machines and related supplies for patient treatments, as well as cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare dialysis machines and supplies for patient treatments
- Clean and sanitize dialysis equipment
- Obtain patients' weight and vital sign information pre and post dialysis
- Document clinical activities
- Maintain stock of medical and surgical supplies
- Perform chlorine testing on water samples
- Transport patients
- Post-Secondary diploma in any STEM field preferred
- Renal Assistant Certificate an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Customer-service oriented
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of sterile/aseptic techniques
- Physical ability to lift and handle supplies and equipment independently
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The ability to work across different locations is essential.
