**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Canamera. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our transportation team and ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate daily operations and make adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor the performance of your team and provide feedback and guidance to ensure they are meeting their goals and objectives.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on a regular basis to keep them informed of the progress and performance of the team.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Manage finances and budget to ensure that costs are controlled and that we are operating within our means.
  • Arrange for shipping documentation and tracking and tracing of goods in transit.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and establish policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
  • Negotiate services and preferential rates with suppliers.
  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
  • Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years experience in a similar role.
  • Degree in Logistics or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software.
