Key Responsibilities
  • Assess project specifications and understand client requirements to develop precise cost estimates for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, soil reports, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for services across various environmental projects.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring all aspects of the estimate are covered.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a clear understanding of scope and client requirements.
  • Utilize software to develop and manage estimates, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other internal teams to understand project goals, constraints, and risks.
  • Coordinate available bid packages and work with divisional leads to build a pipeline.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and market trends to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Track and analyze the performance of completed projects to improve future estimating accuracy.
  • Assist with contract negotiations and support project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with relevant experience in the environmental space, related construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental services, including hydrovac techniques, utilities, and waste management.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting municipal tenders, construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to sites as needed.
