Job Title: Cabinetmaker

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at S&A Crafts. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom cabinets and furniture pieces.

Responsibilities:
  • Instruct apprentices in the art of cabinetmaking and woodworking.
  • Study plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate production of custom cabinets and furniture.
  • Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software and other computer systems to create and manage designs.
  • Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete units, reinforcing joints as needed.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Supervise other workers and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
