Job Title: Enterprise Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Definity Financial Corporation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies and a proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  2. Manage the delivery and governance of projects, ensuring they meet agreed-upon success factors and KPIs.
  3. Create and present status messaging to various stakeholders, including senior leaders and C-suite executives.
  4. Develop and maintain an Integrated Project/Sprint Plan, ensuring successful delivery of confirmed scope on time and on budget.
  5. Collaborate with Technology Leads, Developers, QE Leads, and DevOps to mitigate risks and develop solution options for issues.
  6. Proactively manage risks, issues, and change to support teams and ensure successful project delivery.
  7. Facilitate daily standups, scrum of scrums, product owner synchronization, sprint planning, sprint review, sprint refinements, sprint demos, and sprint retrospectives.
  8. Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog is well-maintained and prioritized for maximum delivery.
  9. Participate in prioritization meetings and quarterly planning to understand pricing priorities and the tie-back to business plans.
  10. Provide technical guidance and support to the team, leveraging your understanding of software development lifecycle, practices, and tools.
  11. Ensure the development team is practicing Agile principles, including collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
  12. Identify and manage risks/issues, impediments, and blockers by engaging the required team(s) to remove blockers and manage resolution.
  13. Coach the team to focus on productivity and effective delivery with high quality while adhering to Agile practices.
  14. Engage cross-functional teams on interdependent stories, manage dependencies to remove obstacles, and ensure successful delivery.
  15. Report on teams' velocity, capacity, blockers, and impediments.
  16. Build a trusting and safe environment where problems/issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
  17. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  18. Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
  19. Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
  20. Promote continuous improvement practices within the team, encouraging experimentation and innovation to improve project outcomes.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related field.
  2. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification required.
  3. Project Management Professional (PMP) required.
  4. Over 5 years of Project Management and Technical Delivery experience, with an emphasis on governance, communication, risk management, financial management, and stakeholder management.
  5. Demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies, with a deep understanding of Agile principles, frameworks, and tools.
  6. Experience working in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry for a minimum of 3 years.
  7. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve project goals.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  9. Ability to influence and effectively negotiate with stakeholders and vendors.
  10. Exceptional planning, organizational, prioritization, and presentation skills.
  11. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  12. Proficient in project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  13. Team-oriented.
  14. Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  15. Prior technical background as a software developer or engineer is a plus.
  16. Experienced with Guidewire Cloud platform (Policy Center, Billing Center & Claims Center) is an asset.
  17. Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and management.
  18. Understands business needs and guides the scrum team to deliver on appropriate epics and stories.
  19. Experienced in working on Insurance programs with multiple delivery streams.
  20. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to relay complex technical concepts and solutions to business partners and stakeholders.
  21. Experienced in working across Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, and other methodologies.
  22. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
