Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents in long term and acute care facilities in the Burlington area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
Requirements:
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), as well as a negative TB skin test within one year and Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length, and to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital as needed.
- Reliability to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit once availability is given.
- Compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
