The Registered Practical Nurse is accountable for providing high-quality care services to residents, including delivering skilled procedures, administering medications, and documenting care in accordance with quality management, legislative requirements, and organizational standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide resident-centered care, prioritizing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with the healthcare team.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify resident needs and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Lead and supervise unregulated healthcare workers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Registered Practical Nurse certification by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration are an asset.
  • Minimum one-year experience in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care as an RPN is preferred.
