Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents in long term and acute care facilities in the Burlington area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure timely and accessible admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and adhere to protocols on assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shift times, including eight or twelve hours, and ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital.
