About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of $82,500 per year, reflecting the high demand for experienced nurses in this region.

The successful candidate will provide front-line support, communicating effectively with residents, staff, families, and physicians while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established standards, collaborating with the College of Nurses of Ontario and Services for Seniors policies.
  • Contribute to ongoing resident health status assessments and documentation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Plans of Care, evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Offer direction and support to front-line staff, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Foster effective communication among residents, staff, families, and team members.
  • Prioritize providing individualized service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents.
  • Monitor resident symptoms and conditions, reporting observations and administering medication as necessary.
  • Maintain the security of drugs and narcotics according to applicable policies and legislation.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement and Risk Management initiatives.
  • Support new staff orientation, students, and volunteers.
  • Serve as a resident advocate, communicating needs to internal and external agencies, staff, families, and students as required.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Completion of an approved medication course for RPNs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands with strong decision-making, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of Residents' Bill of Rights and Compliance Standards as set out by the Ministry of Long-Term Care.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate should be flexible with their schedule, including shifts and every other weekend. They must also be able to perform all physical tasks associated with caring for residents.
