Job Title: Plant Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic to join our team at Canada Building Materials. As a Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance on our ready-mix concrete plants, including pumps, water systems, conveying systems, piping, boiler operation, air compressor systems, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth plant operations and meet production targets
  • Travel to various locations to perform maintenance and repairs on plant equipment
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field
  • Valid Ontario Driver's license and a satisfactory 3-year driver's abstract
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
