Geotechnical Engineer

Vertex is currently seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the technical execution of geotechnical engineering projects across Canada.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support for pipeline and linear infrastructure projects, including assessments related to roads, pipelines, powerlines, and telecommunication towers.
- Conduct engineering assessments for slope instability and create recommendations for geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring of geohazards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project success and assist with proposals and cost estimate preparation.
- Travel for conducting site investigations in the field when required and review and assess lab results.
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of professional work experience in the field of geotechnical engineering, with P.Eng. designation in good standing with PEO.
- Experience in the use of commercially available software packages for the assessment of slope stability and familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft products.
- Valid class 5 driver's license.
