We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Awake Youth Worker to join our team at WJS Canada.

Job Summary:

The Overnight Awake Youth Worker will provide overnight support to children and youth in care, ensuring a safe and healthy environment. This role requires a strong ability to work independently and make sound decisions in crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide overnight support to children and youth in care, including regular bed checks and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and youth, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Collaborate with other team members to plan and deliver culturally appropriate programs and services.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client information and program activities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Child and Youth Work, preferably in a group home or community setting.
  • Experience working with Indigenous children and youth is an asset.
  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Work, or related field.
  • First Aid/CPR Certificate and crisis intervention training.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
