Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Worker to join our team at WJS Canada. As an Overnight Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of children and youth in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overnight support and care to children and youth, including regular bed checks and assistance with night-time routines.
  • Assist with morning routines, including wake-up calls, breakfast preparation, and personal care.
  • Drive school-aged children to school on school days.
  • Be a positive role model and provide guidance and support to children and youth.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Collaborate with other team members to plan and deliver programs and services.
  • Complete paperwork and documentation as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Child and Youth Work, preferably in a group home or community setting.
  • Experience working with Indigenous children and youth is an asset.
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Work, or a related field.
  • First Aid/CPR certification and training in crisis intervention and medication administration.
  • Indigenous Awareness and cultural diversity training.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
