Strategic Governance Lead

Job Summary

This is a key role in our organization responsible for providing overall governance leadership and reporting to the COO. The successful candidate will support and ensure the smooth functioning of governance processes, including reporting, follow-up actions, and harmonization between business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Structure and manage global governance cadences to support EMC reporting, ensuring accountability for overall COO governance process and governance harmonization.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings for the COO, committees, or governance bodies, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure alignment between business units on governance templates and deliverables to the COO, fostering a culture of cooperation and shared goals.
  • Lead governance meetings, take action points, meeting minutes, and ensure governance is on time and covers planned topics, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ensure tracking and communicating action plans and deliverables from governance to deliver on OKRs, driving results-oriented performance and progress.
  • Manage communication between stakeholders and management, building trust and rapport through clear and concise messaging.
  • Deliver insightful recommendations for the leadership team on key governance aspects, providing expert advice and guidance to inform strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate all tasks in support of COO critical business activities and governance, prioritizing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build relationships with the COO and BU leaders to develop a strong network and generate work efficiency, leveraging partnerships to drive success.
Requirements
  • A university degree and 5 years of experience in project management, governance, or project control office, with solutions impacting multiple business units.
  • Excellent English and French written and spoken language skills, with the ability to distill problems into concise and compelling summaries for executive decision-making.
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage in a matrix environment, with the capacity to build alliances and foster collaborative relationships.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on location and qualifications.
