At the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association, we are seeking an experienced professional to fill a pivotal role as a Strategic Patient Support Governance Lead. Based in Canada, this position offers an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a strong background in Patient Organized Programs (POP) Governance to lead and shape our patient support initiatives.

Job Overview

As a Strategic Patient Support Governance Lead, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive governance framework that ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and adheres to industry standards.

Your primary focus will be on leading the end-to-end POP process, ensuring timely and thorough reviews of programs and related issues. You will also provide guidance and support to local associates involved in POPs throughout the program lifecycle, as well as develop and deliver training to ensure standards are well understood and followed by all associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of the Local POP Governance Framework, embedding Medical, Quality, Patient Safety, Regulatory, Ethical, Risk, and Compliance requirements.
  • Manage and oversee all Governance and POP monitoring activities at the country organization.
  • Drive change management initiatives and promote a culture of quality, governance, and patient centricity.
  • Proactively identify quality and compliance risks, establish mechanisms to mitigate these risks, and implement controls to measure compliance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess significant relevant work experience (minimum 8 years) in the pharmaceutical industry or public health sector, with expertise in Patient Support and/or Market Research Programs, medical affairs, drug development, quality assurance, patient safety, or compliance. Additionally, you should have high learning agility, be comfortable with complexity and diversity, and highly interested in continuous improvement.

You should also have excellent project management skills, fluency in both written and spoken English and French, and proficiency in Clinical Trial, Databases, Employee Training, Pharmacovigilance, Reporting, Safety Science, Team Management, and Waterfall Project Management.

We estimate the salary for this position to be approximately $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and market conditions in Canada.
