About the Role:
- As a Data Center Operations Specialist, you'll provide technical support for our mission-critical data center facilities, server environments, and related infrastructure.
- You'll be responsible for specifying, installing, testing, and maintaining server and storage systems, as well as developing and maintaining data center support systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential for this role.
- You'll work collaboratively with our operations staff to ensure seamless execution of tasks and projects.
- Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering-related disciplines, or relevant experience.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Junior Data Center Operations Specialist in supporting servers and data center needs within a mission-critical environment.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Linux environments, as well as some Solaris knowledge.
- Familiarity with large generators and their operation, mechanical equipment systems (CRAC, CRAH, evaporative cooling), and electrical power distribution systems.
- Experience working in a mission-critical data center facility, excellent judgment skills, and ability to lift and move large equipment safely.
