Director, Supply Chain and Procurement Leader

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced Director, Enterprise Procurement and Sourcing to lead the development and implementation of an overarching procurement strategy. This role will be responsible for overseeing all procurement processes, including direct and indirect goods and services, maintenance support, and other procurement activities.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with a minimum of 20 years of experience in sourcing, contracting, procurement, and strategic supplier management. They will be a senior leader with experience in managing multiple levels of reports across geographies and a demonstrated track record of tangible results.
The Director, Enterprise Procurement and Sourcing will be responsible for establishing a formal action-driven contract review process, establishing a formal action-driven process for the Enterprise portfolio, and establishing a formal cost improvement/cost mitigation program. They will also provide leadership and oversight for all make vs buy decisions and collaborate closely with S&OP stakeholders to ensure consistent/optimal contracting and procurement execution and planning effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and confidently deliver messages using simple language or to simplify complex messages. They will also have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess the importance of tasks and decisions and set priorities, focusing time/energy on the most important issues/opportunities.
