About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at WSP Canada. As an Electrical Engineer in Distribution Network, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical distribution systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical distribution systems, including overhead and underground networks, substations, and transmission lines.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and assess existing infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement electrical distribution plans, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical distribution technology.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, including design, planning, and operation.
  • Experience with CAD software, such as PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
