About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to join our ERI team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our Renewables Market leadership team, you will be responsible for leading all administrative, human resources, and technical management tasks within the electrical discipline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of engineers and technicians across Canada, providing guidance and oversight of electrical work.
  • Develop initiatives to strengthen operational and technical project delivery, as well as technical development of the electrical discipline.
  • Lead projects in electrical engineering within our renewables market (solar, wind, and battery energy storage) and support the Hydro and Dams and Transmission and Distribution markets.
  • Ensure quality control of deliverables and participate in the growth of the business unit.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals and business development activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Quebec or another province in Canada.
  • At least 10+ years of relevant experience in consulting engineering and engineering management.
  • Experience managing/leading a team of engineers and/or technicians desired.
  • Must have experience with renewable energy projects (solar, wind, etc.).
  • Experience in executing multi-discipline engineering work on medium and large-scale complex projects across the pre-feasibility study, feasibility study, basic and detail engineering the full EP and EPCM life cycle, including field engineering and commissioning experience.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Must be bilingual - English, French.
  • Pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Multi-disciplinary versatility; a dynamic, team-spirited, and quality-oriented approach; and a commitment to technical excellence are essential.
