About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at WSP Canada. As an Electrical Engineer in Distribution Network, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical distribution systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical distribution systems, including overhead and underground networks;
  • Conduct site surveys and inspections to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement;
  • Certify electrical engineering and calculations in accordance with relevant standards and regulations;
  • Develop and present technical information, concepts, and study results to clients;
  • Review and produce technical documents, including tenders, proposals, and reports;
  • Supervise and support junior engineers and technicians on projects;
  • Ensure timely completion of projects in accordance with client specifications and objectives;
  • Implement and maintain quality and safety processes within the company.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Membership in the Order of Engineers of Quebec and possession of a seal;
  • Experience in electrical distribution engineering, particularly in overhead and underground networks, is an asset;
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE software is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Hydro-Quebec Distribution and telecommunications software is an asset;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license;
  • Fluency in French and English (English is an asset).
