Key Responsibilities:- Greet patients and families, and direct them to the appropriate contacts or service areas.
- Provide basic information to clients and the public, including answering questions and resolving issues.
- Obtain and process information required to provide customer service, such as patient demographics and medical history.
- Operate the switchboard or telephone system, answering and directing calls as needed.
- Order office supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Record and relay information, such as appointment schedules and test results.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, and send reminders to patients as needed.
- Send invoices and maintain accurate records of patient payments.
- Maintain work records and logs, including patient files and medical records.
- Receive and issue payments, and perform other financial tasks as needed.
- Perform clerical duties, such as filing and sorting mail, and distributing documents to staff members.
- Answer telephone calls and relay messages to staff members, and arrange teleconferences as needed.
- Calculate billing charges and maintain accurate records of patient payments.
- Monitor mobile radio or telephone, and provide directory assistance as needed.
- Provide emergency services, such as responding to medical emergencies or providing first aid.
- Relay service to persons with disabilities, and provide other support as needed.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Will train.
- Or equivalent experience.
The Medical Clinic Receptionist will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals on a daily basis.
