The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Homewood Health. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Deliver EFAP Services: Provide confidential counselling, case management, direct clinical services, and assessments as assigned.
  • Telephonic Assessments: Conduct quick and effective telephonic assessments via calls on queue and through Meet Now function on issues related to client behavior and emotional health.
  • Client Support: Offer tangible strategies that clients can implement on their own to address their concerns.
  • Case Management: Receive case assignments, establish treatment plans, complete case progress notes, and determine case closure under the supervision of the Clinical Manager.
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments and support suicide or other risk prevention interventions as needed.
  • Documentation: Complete intervention notes and tracking documents as required.
  • Service Delivery: Maintain established service levels and direct service targets.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, or Psychology.
  • Registration in good standing with a relevant governing body (Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage & Family Therapist, or Canadian Certified Counsellor).
  • 2-3 years' clinical experience with a continuum of mental health and situational problems, including experience and training in solution-oriented and/or cognitive behavioral short-term therapies.
  • Crisis hotline, telephonic counselling, and/or EFAP experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and active listening skills in both French and English.
  • Skilled in risk assessment, online research, and resourcefulness in locating emergency and community resources across Canada.
  • Empathetic to client concerns with exceptional customer service delivery.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive work environment.
