Job Summary:

Clinical Dietitians at Baycrest play a vital role in providing high-quality nutrition care to our patients. As a Casual Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for performing and documenting nutrition assessments, planning, monitoring, and implementing nutrition interventions, and providing nutritional education and counseling to clients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document nutrition assessments
  • Plan, monitor, and implement nutrition interventions
  • Update client nutritional care plans and attend client care conferences
  • Provide nutritional education and counseling to clients, families, and staff
  • Supervise clinical dietetics students

Qualifications:

  • Current member of College of Dietitians of Ontario, in good standing
  • Minimum of six months' experience working in a Hospital setting
  • Experience in providing enteral nutrition required
  • Experience working as a member of an interprofessional team required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
  • Meditech, as well as specialized nutrition related software knowledge preferred
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients, families and members of the interprofessional team
  • Knowledge of or an interest in research
