Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Practice Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, this role will play a critical part in promoting excellence in patient care and advancing the profession of nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Provide consultation and guidance to staff on best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Conduct quality monitoring audits to ensure compliance with standards of practice and care.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to professional practice and clinical care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of quality indicators.
- Collaborate with other Clinical Practice Specialists to plan and provide the Nursing Orientation Program.
- Participate in organization-wide management activities and provide administrative support to Patient Care Managers.
- Demonstrate leadership and role-modeling behaviors to promote a culture of excellence and respect.
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
- Master Degree in Nursing, Education or Health Administration preferred.
- Membership in professional association required.
- Minimum of 5-years of demonstrated clinical experience in Operating Room/PACU.
- Experience as an educator, including the ability to design and deliver programs.
- ACLS certification required.
- ACLS instructor designation an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects with strict deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.
