Job Summary

This is a key role within Farm Boy Inc. that contributes to the success of our retail operations. The Assistant Deli/Cheese Team Lead is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the deli and cheese department, and ensuring a high-quality shopping experience for all customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide superior customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Department Management: Oversee the daily operations of the deli and cheese department, including inventory management, stock rotation, and display maintenance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals, provide coaching and feedback, and ensure a positive work environment.
  • Store Standards: Maintain a clean and safe store environment, adhere to company policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, monitor stock levels, and perform cycle counts to ensure accuracy and minimize losses.
  • Visual Merchandising: Maintain visually appealing displays, ensure product rotation, and implement visual merchandising strategies to drive sales.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with store management, sales associates, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.

  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills, ability to motivate and coach a team, and a strong work ethic.
  • Inventory Management: Strong inventory management skills, ability to analyze data, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively with others, and a strong understanding of company policies and procedures.
Work Environment

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and adapting to temperature changes. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for up to 8 hours per day.
