**Job Summary**

At Metro, we're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Deli Clerk to join our team. As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist customers with deli product inquiries and provide recommendations
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized deli department, including restocking shelves and disposing of waste
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and meet customer needs
  • Participate in visual merchandising and product displays to drive sales and customer engagement

**Requirements:**

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced retail environment, preferably in a deli or food service setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
