Medical Laboratory Technologist II, Multi Functional Lab Core Lab

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team in the Core Laboratory. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including phlebotomy, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process laboratory specimens, perform clinical tests, and prepare specimens for referral.
- Provide work direction to other staff members and assist with scheduling issues as needed.
- Assist with the development of the staffing schedule and participate in quality control/assurance activities.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Participate in decision-making processes and contribute to the implementation of new methods and equipment.
- Certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and a minimum of five years' recent experience in a general duty laboratory.
- Strong leadership, teaching, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
